Concert: Moipei Quartet, Dec. 17 2011 @ National Museum


Their concert will feature a wide range of repertoire, from Classical, Pop and African Music with an exhibition of their Mastery of various musical instruments.

The concert which will be held at National Museums of Kenya, Louis Leakey Auditorium on 17th December between 7PM – 9PM, will be a cocktail event with Proceeds going towards Nairobi Hospice to Support Children with Cancer, Charges KES 2,000/- and tickets are available at all ART CAFÉ outlets in Nairobi.

About Moipei Quartet
Moipei Quartet, is made up of triplets; Mary, Magdalene and Marta and their younger sister Seraphine have toured the world over and performed at Prestigous events, including; Young People’s Festival – South Korea, World Urban Forum – China and Canada, Festival with People of Africa – Venezuela, various charitable concerts in Tanzania and Uganda and just recently performed at the 4th SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards in Durban, South Africa where they won an Award in ‘Best of Africa’ category.

Moipei Quartet are also the youngest persons ever to be awarded Head of State Commendation (HSC) by the President of Kenya, His Exellency Mwai Kibaki. They were also, in 2007, selected as UNICEF Child Ambassadors.

TV Series Auditions, Dec. 17 2011 @ Shalom house

Production company is working on an exciting new TV series and looking to cast the following roles for the pilot:

Ann – 18-24 (or look that age bracket). The character is a naive young female, just arrived Nairobi from her rural home. She is bright, but not book-smart, but street-smart. She is pretty, energetic, hopeful – a diamond in the rough.

Nelly – 18-24 (or look that age bracket). The character is a young female, just arrived Nairobi from her rural home. She is street-smart, though she hasn’t had much education. Slim, aggressive, attractive, believes in getting it, not waiting for it. Not cold-hearted, looks for a better future.

Mr. – 35-39 (or look that age bracket). The character is a dreamer, a know-it-all who thinks he’s all charm.

The auditions will take place at Shalom House on 17th December 2011 from 10am. Last person to audition should arrive by 5.00pm

Come with your portfolio (if any). Be prepared. Know which role you are auditioning for.

Please read the character briefs carefully. If you don’t fit the briefs, please save yourself some time / and money ☺

Please note that if selected, the production company will not be paying the actresses / actor for the pilot. They will however provide transport to and from city center and food during the shoot. If the show is picked up, they will definitely pay.
