Creative’s Meet Up: Start up 101-ABC’s of Running your Business? Mar. 25 2012 @ iHub

With the world now rating Kenya as the 2nd place to watch for innovation and creative developments, alot of interest and opportunities are being availed to the various “startup” communities to enable this. Despite this there is a dearth in basic understanding of what keeps a business running in this region (East Africa) in the global age- which is why you are ALL invited!

Money Management which Githua breaks down so easily is the start and end of any business, however you cant make a move without knowing where you are going- ie Strategy and Gameplan which Steve gives the importance it deserves. Yet you may have the Steve Jobs/Michael Jackson of all innovative-groundbreaking creations but if no-one knows about it, and its not on the shelves- then it does NOT exist- which Gil will be handling in terms of Market Access.

Creativez are NOT African timers so come on time for this comfortable open-dialogue that will be moderated by (@Geishafire)  of “Networking In Heels” initiative.

About Joe
Joe Thomas, shot to fame with the title track of his then album All That I Am in 1997, has been busy since then, recording a total of 9 studio albums. The 39 year old musician is still singing about love and is still deftly incorporating acoustic guitar in soothing tunes with his latest album, which went to the #2 spot at the BillBoard RnB charts. The Good, The Bad, The Sexy is slightly more assertive and fast paced, but definitely has Joe Thomas written all over it.
Thomas, whose parents are both preachers, caused a good stir when one of his singles last year (Closer) featured in a compilation CD called Sacred Love Songs II by Bishop TD Jakes.

Art Exhibit: Ehoodi Kichapi, Mar 25 – Apr 25 2012 @ One Off Contemporary Art Gallery

This promises to be a real treat for art lovers. Ehoodi Kichapi‘s work with mixed media is quite unique in the Kenyan art community. Some of you might have come across him before, under the name Jes’se Ng’an’ga. The gallery hosting the exhibit is simply wonderful, out of a fairy tale: a well-kept secret, 5 minute drive from the Village Market. We will not miss this opening, and you shouldn’t either!
