The Waldorf EcoFair, Green Living & Crafts, is a vibrant, evolving, annual community-building event with an ‘eco’-centric focus, drawing individuals, companies and organizations together from all over Kenya. We invite Nairobiites to bring the whole family out to the ‘green peace’ of Karen – yes, it really is worth the trek across town!
Enjoy guilt-free retail therapy, supporting, among others, recycling and ecotourism initiatives offering hot fashion and décor ideas, while the children are engrossed in magical activities and creative Waldorf-style pastimes. At the same time you can find out more about sustainable, responsible, natural and compassionate ways of living together here with Planet Earth and see some of what Kenyans are doing, ‘eco’.
This year we’re also featuring the thrilling Savage Wilderness ZipLine – fun for all the family – in addition to the usual children’s activities facilitated by our own Waldorf Teachers.
Funds raised by the EcoFair will support our scholarship children.
The 4th Annual Waldorf EcoFair consists of over 90 stalls, offering the following:
· Sustainable Energy Resources for your home and workplace incl. eco-construction and biogas demonstrations
· Green Product Design & Green Household Products
· Permaculture & Organic Farming Exhibitions

· Fashion Accessories & Home Décor – with particular emphasis on products made from recycled materials.
· Holistic Health – info on complementary therapies, alternative health systems, natural lifestyles and support services
· Creative Children’s Activities in the Steiner-Waldorf Tradition
· Slow Food Court (referring to the quality of food not the speed of the service!)
Exhibition of Steiner-Waldorf Education and sale of Waldorf toys

Michakato Majimboni does not take the form of regular talk shows that are based on “ask the experts” model as it will has no panelists. They level the ground because they believe we are the ‘experts’ of the issues in our region, and inborn solutions are what will make real and lasting change.
And there is more to this cutting-edge, lively and most important; informative, inspiring and cross generational show. Attached is a more detailed write-up.
Brief – Leadership Campaign, Michakato Majimboni
