Phoenix Players Present:
Who’s Who

Directed by George Mungai

SYNOPSIS
Who’s who? Is a farce for two men and two women in the lounges of the “Grand Machakos Hotel”, a place of faded elegance. In Act I we follow the confusion that two gentlemen land themselves in – as in – extricable as the hotel itself- in an effort to cover up their clandestine weekend: a confusion which ends in no one knowing anyone else’s identity, and a hint that, even when things have been more or less cleared up, all is likely to start over again. In Act II the male players discuss the previous events and one says that if positions and identities had been reversed the trouble would never have occurred. The situation is re-enacted on these lines, but with even more calamitous results.
