On Friday 26 February, Kenyan music lovers will experience a new concert organised by the Goethe-Institut in Nairobi in collaboration with Music In Africa.DJ and producer Saint Evo will be joined by singer Inami, guitarist Tetu Shani, saxophonist Frazier Mo-ray, percussionist HK Gachago and DJ Marcus Ezra will perform at the event. Saint Evo, progenitor of a new sound he calls equatorial house.
The collaboration between Music In Africa an information and knowledge exchange pan-African portal and with the Goethe-Institut in Nairobi aims to provide up-and-coming local talents with a platform to showcase their skills. Later this year the two entities will organize panel discussions that will enable music stakeholders to discuss pertinent issues affecting the Kenyan music industry, as well as concerts that will promote new talents on the Kenyan music scene.
The February concert marks the beginning of this collaboration.

Spoken word poetry is a form of artistic expression that has evolved into a conduit for the dissemination of information and education while providing entertainment in the same breath.What Dorphan as a spoken word poet has been able to create is a blend of free verse, flow, hip-hop, word-play and storytelling to explore historical, social, cultural, political and humanitarian issues while at the same time providing a light humorous touch that provides audiences an experience that is both thought provoking and entertaining.
Dorphanage Experience will feature poetry performances laced with live music.

The Nile Project is an exceptional cross-cultural collaboration, its members hailing from all along the great river that connects eleven countries and over 400 million people, from its sources beyond Lake Victoria to its delta in Egypt. Kilimani Street Festival & 5 KM Run, Feb. 27 2016 @ Kilimani & Environs

On Saturday, February 27th, FAFA partners with The Kilimani Project Foundation, Organic Farmers Market, Lornah Kiplagat and Nairobi City County to bring a carnival affair like no other to the streets of Kilimani and its environs. The event is set to kick off with the legendary LornahSports organising a morning #Kili5km run to encourage a healthy lifestyle and to explore the neighborhood. All participating runners will be provided with a running kit.
This will be followed by market shopping and entertainment which will include showcases of different and outstanding design products from Kenya’s finest coupled with great food, music, art and fashion. The event is meant to encourage people to try something new and promises to be a fun filled day for everyone. Expect a variety of performances from young artists and DJs throughout, the only challenge will be how to leave when you are having so much fun!

Running kit will be collected the day before (Friday, 26th Febraury). Incase a participant hasn’t collected his/her kit before the day of the event. He/She will receive their kit(s) between 7:00 -8:00 am on Saturday (event day).All runners will assemble 8:00am at the junction of Denis Pritt and Rose Ave. The Run will culminate with a Prize giving ceremony at 10:00 am.
Market Shopping & Entertainment
This will be followed by market shopping & entertainment from 12 noon til 6:00pm, which includes the Organic Farmers Market as well as outstanding design products from Kenya’s finest, with prices fit for everyone’s pocket. Shopping experience will be coupled with a mix of food from around the globe as well as Kenya. Our community is diverse, so we would like to encourage people to try something new.A variety of young artists and DJs will keep everyone entertained throughout, so the challenge will be how to leave when you are having so much fun!

Synopsis
The story mainly takes place on board the flight No.1980 bound for Honolulu from Japan. For Suzuki Kazuhiro, the co-pilot, this flight is the final test for his promotion to become captain. For Saito Etsuko, a newly recruited cabin attendant, this is her memorable debut on an international flight. However, the aircraft hits a bird soon after takeoff and the aircraft is forced to turn back to Japan due to technical failures. Then they are faced with yet another challenge – difficult landing conditions due to an approaching typhoon. They manage to overcome the challenge with the help of instructions issued by the operation control center on the ground. The young crew in aviation-related occupations grows in experience after this bittersweet but fulfilling flight.We encourage you to come with a friend(s) for this movie.
