Date: December 4, 2016
Venue: Nairobi Streets – Meeting point (Muingi Mbingu Street, Jevanjee Gardens)
Time: 9am – 12 pm
About
Nairobi will host a Critical Mass – an event that does not only invite cyclists, but also pedestrians and skaters to the streets in the CBD. The event is part of the place-making week which is organised by Nairobi City Council in collaboration with UN-Habitat. On Sunday, 4 December (9am – 12pm), streets in Nairobi´s CBD will be reclaimed by Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) users. The idea is to bring awareness to the challenges faced by NMT users – that are often forgotten in the transport planning and infrastructure construction. Come join this unique opportunity to illustrate that cyclists do exist and have an equal right to the road.Bring your bike and friends along.
