Jessica Atieno will give an introduction into  her artworks at around 2.00 pm.

James Mweu and is dance group will present a dance performance in the afternoon.

Jessica Atieno explores the role of historic photographic archives in reconstituting current perspectives within ethnographic representations.

“What happens when a photographic object vacates the space of the archive and is re-appropriated in the creation of a new artistic work?”

The exhibition is on view until 5th March 2023.

Using oil and/or acrylic Leo Mativo created a series of pieces that serves as a reflection of concealed emotional and psychological states of being we are engulfed in either briefly or over substantial periods of time, through  exposure to various emotional and psychological environments of today. The work is strongly characterised by unrestrained paint application techniques and captivating eyes on abstract backgrounds that give the work soul and presence.
