The Mukuru Art Collective is a network of young artists based in Mukuru, working at the intersection of creativity, community, and social change. Through murals, public installations, performance, and workshops, the collective transforms everyday spaces into platforms for expression and dialogue, often addressing issues such as environmental awareness, youth empowerment, and urban inequality. Their work is deeply rooted in lived experience, drawing on the textures and stories of Mukuru itself, while also opening up new possibilities for how art can shape public space, build local identity, and create pathways for economic opportunity within the community.
