Concert: Classical Art Song, May 27 2012 @ Rosslyn Estate

Singer Jamie Munn and pianist Annalee Whitehead will perform a recital of Art Song from Germany, France, Britain and America on 27 May 2012 at 4pm. The recital will include songs by Monteverdi, Mahler, Debussy, Loeffler, and Barber, as well as a complete performance of Schumann’s Liederkreis Op. 39. The concert shall last approx. 80 minutes including an interval where ice teas, cold drinks and cakes will be served (probably the most important part!). It will be held in the residence of Annalee (Rosslyn Estate, Gigiri area), and as audience numbers will be very limited please reply to jamiemunn@hotmail.com to reserve a space and for exact directions. Tickets are priced 500Ksh (300Ksh students).

Adventure/Extreme Sports: The Rhino Charge, Jun. 1-3 2012 @ TBA*

One of the most exciting events in Kenya, The Rhino Charge is set to take place on June 1-3, 2012.

This event is popular for its activities which involve what is seen as bravery, high level skill in off road driving and navigation. The experience for both the participants and spectators is not only exciting but heightens the adrenaline as the 4 wheel drive vehicles navigate across and compete on vehicle performance when it comes to enduring tough terrain.

The event is organized by The Rhino Ark Charitable Trust mainly to raise proceeds towards conservation of Kenya’s Aberdare Ecosystem.

The check-in is at the Braeburn Primary School, Nanyuki.
