Performances by Inka, Asali and multi-talented award winning South African funk jazz artist Claire Phillips collaborating with Aaron “Crucial Keys” Rumbui

Blankets & Wine are also broadening their scope and shall have their first ever ‘Blankets & Wine Africa Mash-up’. For their 1st mash up, they have South African jazz/soul/funk musican Claire Phillips collaborating with our very own jazz composer and instrumentalist Aaron Rimbui. They shall co-create/re-arrange each other’s music and perform this work on the 1st of April.

Their aim is to fuse Urban African Sounds with ethnic and urban Kenyan Sounds (and eventually East African sounds) with the end aim of generating club ready music from Africa with a distinct East African flavor.

As always pack your picnic, carry your Maasai shuka/ Blanket/ Kikoys/picnic chair and their preferred company, and come share in this music and lifestyle experience

We at NairobiNow love Blankets & Wine
