In performance this Thursday is the pianist Lola Akwabi, a performer radio presenter and teacher at the Kenya Conservatoire of Music. She will be sharing the stage with the mezzo soprano Maggie Warau Gitu. Maggie studied voice and performance in the USA and this will be her first performance since returning to Kenya. There will be a guest appearance by Soprano Elizabeth Njoroge

Nairobi Chess Club new activities, from Jan 22 2011 @ Goan Gymkhana

Nairobi Chess Club activities are due to start from 22 January 2011 from 2pm at the Goan Gymkhana, Ngara Road (near the National Museum roundabout).  Meetings will then be held every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month.  New comers are welcome to try out the oldest and most organised chess club in Kenya.  All levels, kids, seniors welcome.  Coaches are available on request.  You can become a fan of the club on Facebook and get regular updates.  Free, Secure and Ample parking available.  Email info@nairobichessclub.com
