Upendo Hero calls the soldiers of Love for an action, Nov. 27 2011 @ Kibera
Dear Soldiers of Love
In Kibera some friends of ours have been trying to get permission to use a destroyed government building that was ruined during the 2008 elections.
They want to start art classes, karate classes and other things for the community. The government says no, and they are now thinking of building a wall around the entrance to shut everyone out….
This is why we need all of you to help us!
We will walk through kibera and end up at this building where we will cover the area with art, listen to music and have a great time. If you want to help us in any way let me know!
Please spread this love message around

Exhibition: Eyes on Animation, Nov. 30-Dec. 8 2011 @ Kuona Trust

Kuona Trust Invites you to: Eyes on Animation
This is a series of animations by Andrew Njoroge, Patrick Mukabi, Peterson Kamwathi & Allan Musumbi.
Opening Wednesday 30th November at 5pm
The exhibition will run until Thursday 8th December 2011
This is a joint conceptual project bringing together artists using new media as a means of expression, with the aim of exploring the possibilities of animation as an art form in the Kenyan context. It will be an attempt to introduce local artists and audiences to this art form.
The long term plan is to encourage local artists to participate in global new media events such as “The One Minutes” and “Documentation ”.
During the exhibition, the four artists will hold a public workshop on simple animation that will involve artists & media students.
