Kilifi New Year is preparing for the third edition of the festival this year, promising a bigger, better and bolder show than ever before. The highlights of a line-up that brings together artists from Kenya, Senegal, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands and the UK include Kenya’s own Bengatronics, the return of Seth Schwarz with his unique electric violin combo, an Electrafrique Band reunion, a visit from the legendary Be Svendsen and a broad mix of Kenya’s finest electronic performers.

The second edition of Little Miss Kenya and Miss Teen Kenya will take place on Sunday 27th November 2016 at Nailab – Bishop Magua Center, Padmore Lane, Ngong Road (Directly opposite Uchumi – Ngong hyper) starting at 2 pm.

The aim of this initiative is to foster goodwill ambassadors for the community by encouraging individual growth, personal platforms and community involvement.

Our contestants are divided into four age categories (Tiny Miss Kenya 3-5 years, mini Miss Kenya 6-8 years, Little Miss Kenya 9-12 years and Miss Teen Kenya 13-18 years).

Human Rights Watch Film Festival
The 2016 HRW Film Festival returns to the Alliance Française. Nairobi is one of over 20 cities around the world that hosts the Film Festival.

The festival encourages filmmakers around the world to address human rights subject matter in their work and presents films from both new and established international filmmakers. The films brings to life human rights abuses through storytelling in a way that challenges each individual to empathize and demand justice for all people.

At Alliance Française, the following films will be showing. The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution, Among the Believers, Mediterranea & Tuko Macho.

All screenings will be followed by panel discussions.
