Kenya’s most peculiar habit is the way we handle our divorce. It is one single most common thing we do and yet we can’t handle it. Heartstrings Kenya will hilariously come up with an award-winning proposal on how we should be divorcing. It will be so appetizing; you will want to consider it!

Larry Asego

Theatre: Changing Generation (A Musical), Nov. 26 2010-Jan. 8 2011 @ The Professional Centre

Phoenix Players Proudly presents CHANGING GENERATIONS directed by George Mungai. This Musical Production was first presented in 1992, and was written by James Falkland with music by Joy Mboya and Suzanne Gachukia. It Premiers this Friday 26th November 2010.

This is a story of a group of young Kenyans who have just graduated and are in the throes of celebrating this achievement but this is shadowed by a cloud of uncertainty of the future- corruption, lethargy, politics; getting jobs…Kim (Waithaka Gatumia) and Josh (Bryan Alufwani) are buddies and are in serious relationships with Purity (Jane Gathoni) and Bella (Darshani Haria). The hurdles begin to unfold when Kim’s Mother is opposed to this relationship and regards Purity as a ‘gold digger’ of obscure breeding. On the other hand, Josh’s Father cannot imagine his son getting hitched to a girl of different color. The young couples have their own self inflicted challenges. The issues in 1992, interestingly, are still the same today!! The cast is fresh and highly talented, backed up with an amazing band

The show shall be on Wed, Thurs and Friday’s @ 7p.m, Sat @ 6p.m, Sun 12th & 19th @ 4p.m & Sat 8th @ 3p.m & 6p.m.
