Ladies’ Mapping Party: Feb. 12 2011 @ iHub

Do you want to change the world? Are you a woman working in tech, or working for a cause in which Google Maps could help tell your story? Or perhaps you’re just interested in Google Map Maker and mapping your world, as well as interacting with other like minded women?
Then join us at iHub on 12 February 2011 for a Mapping Party using Google Map Maker! There are many places around the globe that still don’t have access to high quality maps, but we are working towards changing this using Map Maker. We’re going to be working together to map out Kenya, building a better map for everyone in the world to see. See how youth from Korogocho came together and improved their local map during our Korogocho Mapping event.
No experience is necessary and all you need to bring is your local expertise, a good attitude, and your laptop. This will be a really fun group activity, and by the end of the party we’ll already be able to see how much we’ve contributed to the community.
Please visit our website where you can register for the event (RSVP by 2 February 2011), learn about Google Maps and Map Maker in advance, and gather all your inspiration so that you’re ready to hit the ground running!
