Synopsis
The film “Black Diamonds” uncovers the mechanisms of the lucrative international trade of hundreds of young African players with their heads full of dreams who are ready for tremendous sacrifices to become the new football superstars.
They came to Europe from Africa at the age of 15 year old and the promise of becoming football stars. Amadou and Moussa, childhood friends, are captured in Mali by agents, separated from their families and trained in Madrid to triumph.
A trip through Spain, Portugal and northern Europe, teaches them firsthand the shadows of the so-called king sport, a business that stopped treating them like children to see them as ‘Black Diamonds’.

PS: The new Spanish Ambassador, H.E. Javier García de Viedma, will attend the screening.
