About
Jesie Otumba from Brush Tu Art Studio is a self-taught artist based at Brush tu Art Studio. He was solely driven by his talent and has been drawing for two years. His works have been exhibited in several places, including the Dusit D2 Gallery.

His works consist mostly of chess pieces because they speak a lot. He uses the chess board and pieces as the base of his inspiration and communication to people. He loves using color pencils, especially white to express himself because of the realism they bring out.

For Jesie, the chessboard represents the world we are in. The chess pieces and their different moves represent people with different roles in the society while the blackness on the background of most of his pieces shows the darkness brought into the world by our actions and moves.
