In the light of the seemingly endless coverage of the ongoing migrant tragedy in Europe, Mwangi’s latest show titled ‘Hope at the Tarmac’ seems particularly appropriate, and reminds us of the plight of our own migrants in Eastern Africa.Often tipped as an artist to watch, in this exhibition Mwangi reinforces the notion that he is an artist to be taken seriously whilst still being in the ‘affordable price’ range.
