With the ongoing expansion of karura forest, and to ensure that security is maintained, this event is aimed at raising funds to buy bikes for the guards.
It’s a whole family event with breakfast served after the various runs.

A Day with Dekha – fundraiser and commemoration, Sep 10 2011 @ Karura Forest

Next Saturday there are a series of events to commemorate Dekha  Ibhrahim Abdi. She was an accomplished peacemaker tragically killed about a month ago in a car accident along with her husband, leaving behind 4 kids.

First a sponsored walk to raise some funds for education for Dekha Ibrahim Abdi’s kids.
Come walk in Karura Forest  and plant/buy a tree for planting in an area we have cleared as a peace corner in commemoration not just to her, but  to all those who work for a peaceful stable society in Kenya. Come add your energy and good wishes to this lovely spot.
