Makadem is a talented musician and vibrant performing artiste. His stage presence, charismatic persona and powerful vocal delivery have had him likened to the legendary King of Afro-Beat, Fela Kuti; and his soulful folk ballads have earned him comparisons to the legendary Bob Dylan.

About the Worldwide Awards
The Worldwide Awards are an annual celebration of the left field underground, set up to “celebrate a side of the music scene that often gets ignored”, as Gilles puts it.

The awards are divided in to three categories, namely; the heavyweight Album of the Year (this year’s nomination include, Kendrick Lamar’s album, ‘Damn’), Jazz Album of the Year and Track of the Year award (in which Makadem’s track has been nominated).

Thereafter he will embark on a tour of the greater East Africa, in what is dubbed the Nyatiti East African Tour, that should see him perform in; Kigali, Kampala, Kisumu, Arusha ,Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Mombasa and finally end back in Nairobi.
