The woman’s vote exhibition draws attention to the role of the Kenyan woman in the electoral voting process, and her role in the political leadership of the country.

This is an interactive exhibition installed by Maryann Muthoni, an emerging contemporary female Kenyan artist based at Kuona Trust, Centre for visual Arts.
Muthoni comes from a generation of Kenyan contemporary artists who believe that Art is a tool that can be used to ‘Voice’ our societies plights.

Through her installation, Muthoni’s intention is to be a voice for Women in various communities whom have never had the opportunity to vote. She hopes to stir up conversation around this topic and to be heard by crucial members of society who can influence change.
