The Safaricom Youth Orchestra invites new applications from young musicians aged between 10 to 17yrs playing the following instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba & Percussion. The preferred candidates must demonstrate commitment to individual practice and ensemble music.All candidates must fill in an application form prior to their audition. The closing date for receipt of filled applications is Friday 9th March 2018.
The auditions will take place at the Safaricom House, Waiyaki Way on 17th and 18th March 2018, starting from 9:00am. You will be contacted prior to the audition with your audition time.

Masculinity & Femininity by cultural instinct are gender assigned: men are masculine, women are not. Masculinity is a male enamored trait, and its admiration also makes it fragile. Femininity is female, soft, needed, but weak. Our social constructs depend on an incorrect gender-binary definition, but masculine and feminine is more dual than we realise. Maybe a single person can be both masculine and feminine – a concept we will be exploring through different art forms during the next Art & Poetry

In 2009, Paragasha was founded by Anto Neosoul as a platform to nurture up and coming artistes.Although the dream was short-lived in 2011, the fire never died and most recently, the need to offer young visionaries and creators from all spheres of art including music, film, fashion, I.T and entertainment has been more than ever.
With the support of Safaricom through provision of space at Michael Joseph Centre, the dream is once again a reality. Beginning 26th March 2016 and every month thereafter, Paragasha will curate a space that allows networking of young brilliant minds with film, art, music, I.T and fashion enthusiasts.
Why should our young brilliant minds wait to have a few hit songs or mainstream support to get a chance to perform professionally? The time is now. It is time to Paragasha. It is time to just be; without inhibitions, without fear.

Little Miss Kenya And Miss Teen Kenya Beauty Contest is an annual glamorous event which aims at boosting visibility and promotion of young models and designers in the region and it’s basically the selection of Little Miss Kenya And Miss Teen Kenya. It’s aim is to provide a platform to creative designers to display their art and equal opportunity to our little and teen models to showcase their talent on the runway and boost their confidence.Our goal is to open vast opportunities for young designers and young models and also scout and nurture young talents. We put an effort to bring together best fashion talents from across the region. The event features four age categories which are; Tiny 3 – 5 years, Mini 6 – 8 years, Little 9 – 12 years and Teen 13 – 16 years.
