Citing his influences as Bob Marley, James Brown and Hugh Masekela, Yubu’s music has not only been shaped by Kenyan and African sounds but also those of the gritty streetes and neighbouroods of Memphis, Tennessee, where he lived for sometime.From the strum of his guitar, the conviction of his vocals, the catchy nostalgic melodies to thought provoking lyrics, get ready for some hip-shaking, finger snapping and head nodding with Yubu.
