About
Kenyan artist Mike Kyalo is renowned for his ability to portray the mood and environment of his homeland, capturing movement, shadow and expression in his unique style.

Based at the GoDown Art Center, Kyalo works primarily in paint and his pieces reflect the lives and struggles of those working in Nairobi, Mombasa, Likoni, Majengo and Machakos. His main focus is in his subjects body language, their composition and the seriousness they manifest while at work.

Mike’s work is on show at Talisman from the 17th of May.

Join us for Dave Brubeck’s sensational film ‘All Night Long’ with live score by Kenyan saxophonist, Rabai and female drummer, Kasiva Mutua.

‘All Night Long’ features onscreen appearances by jazz legends Charles Mingus and Tubby Haynes.
