About
Chronixx is one of the most popular reggae artists in the world. He says: “I’m excited to visit Nairobi because Kenya is home to over 60,000* of my Facebook fans.” (*This is the second highest country count outside of Jamaica.)
The young reggae vocalist is often referred to as one of the leaders of the recent “Reggae Revival” revolution. This position has been solidified by hits such as “Smile Jamaica” and “Here Comes Trouble” off his 2014, The Dread & Terrible Project which topped both the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts.

The June 18th concert marks Chronixx’s return visit to Nairobi where he last performed in 2013 as a Peace Ambassador ahead of Kenya’s general elections.

Chronixx Bio:
Born October 10, 1992, Chronixx was musically nurtured from an early age by his father, the artist Chronicle, and grew up surrounded by the likes of Burro Banton, Norris Man and Gregory Isaacs. His remarkable ascension in the music industry was in full effect when he began harmonizing for artists such as Lutan Fyah and providing production assistance for tracks sung by Konshens, Honorebel, Popcaan and others.

Exhibition Opening – Line of Inquiry by Boniface Maina

Date: Saturday, 11th June 2016
Venue: the Art Space, Off Riverside Drive
Time: 12 pm

Exhibition runs until June 21, 2016

“We are often haunted by important relationships from the past that influence us unconsciously in the present. As we work them through, they go from haunting us to becoming simply part of our history.” – Norman Doidge

About the Show
Line of Inquiry: Sediments of Self is the product of Boniface Maina’s own self-psychoanalysis. He explores the conflict within himself, which has over the years produced artwork that while beautiful, has had elements of melancholy.

In this body of work, Maina breaks through his self, uncovering layers of his personality through questioning. He directs ink and pen on paper to create very intimate and personal pieces.

It is by far his most honest work yet.
