The workshop supports photographers who are looking to develop their skills in covering night events and is geared for Non professional photographers (basic photography knowledge).
Fredrick Ochieng Bio
Fredrick Ochieng started photography when he was only 9 years old. His photography focuses on events, still life, sport and nature. In 2010, he won the Best Photographer Award at the International Human Rights Festival “What Kids Can Do International photography”. Since 2014, he has been active in media development by doing lectures in photography in different Universities, Colleges and Community Media Centres in Kenya. He spent more than four years as an event photographer and spent two years at The Alchemist Bar as the official photographer. Currently he is the DOP of Cultural Video Production and The Nrb Bus.
Also, he is the co-founder of SEMA Youth Festival; an event that involves participatory workshops in video-making, to enable young filmmakers in the region to learn, create and connect.
The workshop is offered free of charge, and only 10 participants will be selected.
