Ruth Nyakundi started painting when she was a child. In her paintings, she expresses her thoughts, dreams, and emotions, deriving inspiration from the world and projecting them in various mediums. Her art has evolved over the years, in the process she has become an accomplished and prolific artist exhibiting world over.

In this exhibition ‘Culture and Values’ Ruth explores traditional virtues that are deeply rooted in Africa and that are still applicable in the way of thinking today.

On a three-city tour covering Mozambique, Uganda and Kenya, Kool & The Gang bring their unique blend of jazz, soul and funk—that has influenced the music of three generations—to Nairobi to celebrate the good times.

Traveling with a full band, Kool & The Gang shall play beloved hits such as Celebration, Cherish, Fresh, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness, Get Down On It, and Ladies Night.

The Japan Information & Culture Centre would like to invite you the 10th Japanese Cultural Festival which will be held on Saturday, November 05, 2016.

About
The main event of the Cultural Festival will be a Japan Music Festival. The music festival is a Japanese Chorus Competition by various schools and universities.

Other activities will include a Japanese Dolls Exhibition, Anime Screening, Martial Arts Demonstration (Karate & Aikido) Origami and Traditional Japanese Games. Please find the poster attached for more details.

Food and drinks will not be provided during the cultural festival. Kindly feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks.
