OffBeat and South African Airways present the inaugural edition of Rhythm & Wine, a novel curated experience of art and music slated for the 12th of August 2016 at the Shifteye Gallery, on the ground floor of Priory Place on Argwings Kodhek Road in Hurlingham.

It is promised to be a multisensory experience for the audience who will against a backdrop of fine art , savour carefully selected wines, all the while being serenaded by acoustic tunes.

It is set to be a forever memorable meeting of worlds, art forms and people; the art pieces are part of the exhibition “Arts to End Slavery” by Haart Kenya, Winyo’s music addresses a myriad of social issues and the wines will be provided by local wine collectors House of Gaitirira, who will bring out their finest selection of Kenyan and South African bottles. The Shifteye Gallery, offers just the right ambience for this, with its airy whitewashed walls providing a neutral, serene and stage.

‘Kilimarch’ from Prestige Plaza to Kuona Trust
Join a live band and fellow Kilimanians as we march from Prestige Plaza in a carnival style to Kuona Trust where we will have a variety of programmes and activities including an Instameet with Mutua Matheka on the Sunday 14th .

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (13th-17th August):
Kids Art Workshop at Kuona Trust, 10 a.m.

Tuesday 16th August:
Discussion ‘Urban Decay’ with Urban Planning Students, 2:00 p.m. ADD Building, University of Nairobi
Students of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning will hold a discussion on ‘Urban Decay. Come and share your views on the same and what you think of Kilimani as well as other parts of the City.

Wednesday 17th August:
Kilimani Rising, Stakeholders discussion on Streetscaping
Kilimani Rising is finally coming to be! Stakeholders will hold a discussion and workshop, sharing ideas on how we can improve our streets! (More information on Kilimani Rising can be read below).

This event will be the ultimate cosy concert experience where we offer, with a bonfire, complimenting artwork for ambience, bitings, bar service, alongside an intimate performance session where the audience gets to interact with the artist courtesy of a controlled and relaxed environment.

The featuring artists will be Tetu Shani, Labdi and we shall enjoy a live Dj set from Zontor.
