On behalf of Ricky Na Marafiki band, I’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to An Evening Of Afro Jazz the Legend’s Edition on the 5th of August at the Alliance Francaise from 7:00 pm.
We shall be hosting the legendary Them Mushrooms, they are one of Kenya’s most successful bands in a well-rounded sense. Their thumb-prints are evident in every discipline that constitutes the music business in Kenya.
On stage we shall also have Kwame Rigii, the rising sun, who has been dubbed Cupid’s chanteur. His vibrato is the stuff of legends, and his music a breath of fresh air. He calls his music Urban Folk, a mélange of styles ranging from Rhumba & Afro-soul, to Ethiopian Gurage peppered with Akorino mellismas paying tribute to his heritage.
Tickets are Ksh 800 advance on rupu.co.ke and Ksh 1,000 at the door.
