Penya Africa’s End of Term Concert – The Genesis, Aug. 1 2014 @ Michael Joseph Centre – Safaricom HQ

Penya Africa is the home of Sauti Academy, designed to nurture and grow musically talented vocalists through a one year training program where they learn about vocal techniques, songwriting and music business.
The end term concert will feature the 1st term class showcasing a cover and a battle song in duets. It will also feature the 2nd term class who have just undergone an intensive songwriting term. Each singer will showcase 2 of his/her own compositions.
This show is a must attend for all music lovers and those adventurous enough to come discover what this new and fresh talent has to offer.

What is it For? Exhibition & Installation, Jul. 31 – Aug. 8 2014 @ Kuona Trust

This is an exhibition and installation by Kuona resident artist Tresor Malaya that highlights various social and political issues in Africa drawing parallels between two slum dwellings, Kibera in Kenya & Kalubwe in Congo.
The artist’s objective is to addresses society’s passive nature and prompt it to be pro active in finding long term solutions.

Well…if you missed it the first time, here’s another chance to catch this captivating, humorous, intriguing Musical play that is BACK!!
…The play takes you through the journey of CITY DADS and their journey through fatherhood in the most realistic and typical way; ranging from financial obligations, tough decision making, and challenges brought about by wrong choices made earlier in life, to absentee fathers and the resolution to be the best fathers they could ever be and how this affects the women who love them. This takes the audience through a roller coaster of emotions in a captivating way.
This star studded performance will feature: Benjamin Webi, Michael Oyier and Steve Katingima.
The play is written by Seth Busolo, directed by Lucy Wache, Produced by Charity Nyambura and the music done by Benjamin Webi.
