Nipe Nafasi
The photographs and paintings on paper and canvas are done by children aged 10 to 14 and above, they address issues observed and experienced by the children such as water and sanitation concerns, education, food and health, child labour, individual discipline and peer pressure, environmental concerns, family support, child protection and spiritualism. Art is one way to give a child the chance to tell about a world of their choice; about the good things that they like and the things they would like to see change.

To promote the rights of children and their freedom of expression with a long term aim of increasing their participation in addressing issues affecting them.
To enhance communication between children and their parents, teachers, peers and the general community, to protect and associate respectfully, and reduce their vulnerability to abuse and neglect.
To create a platform where children boost their self-esteem and hope for a positive future.

Set in the 80’s this brilliantly plotted African play shows a family struggle with secrets after losing a son and his family in a horrid car accident, mother and father turns to mould their last son to take his late brothers place in building the family business and family name. How mother is blinded with pride and power to draw evry1 around her into her world of lies and revenge. This play shows the stigma of aids in an orthodox way. Directed by Eugene and put together by a brilliant performance (PG. 16yrs).

About

Sammy Lutaya is ranked one of Kenya’s most prolific visual artists and illustrators. Besides painting and creating artworks whose scope covers varied socio-economic-cultural themes, he also seeks to promote the visual arts both locally and internationally.
Sammy has participated in various art exhibitions and cultural exchange workshops in different countries including Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Mauritius, Italy,China, Australia and Pakistan.

Zipporah Irari started out as a teacher but quit to concentrate on painting. Early this year she exhibited at the National Museum of Kenya.

Synopsis
Take two adjoining hotel suites, add two couples, both on extremely nervous blind dates, contrive that they each somehow meet the wrong partner, and complicate matters with an excitable room waitress whose mission in life is to encourage romance wherever it might spark, and you have the recipe for an evening of chaotic entanglements and unlikely liaisons which constantly teeters on the edge of disaster.
