Creatives Garage Pitstop, Aug. 10 2013 @ Kuona Trust

Creatives garage will be holding a clinic day on the 10th of August from 10 am to 3pm with the aim of bringing creatives together in a workshop that will train them on improving their entrepreneurial skills.
In addition, it will also be an opportunity for the creatives to interact with the institutions and organizations that run the industry that creative arts fall into.

Venue: Kuona Trust

Joram Mwinamo, Managing partner at Wylde International, will be giving a business talk on setting up and running a successful business.

Creative labs will be hosted by our partners. Dj Kim and Folk will be on the decks.

Creatives garage is platform that helps creatives learn, network, form projects and market themselves to potential clients.

About
Yassir Ali is a Sudanese artist who is currently living in Nairobi, Kenya. A graduate of Fine Art from Sudan University for Science and Technology, Yassir is a member of the Almada Art Group, Union for Sudanese Artists and Kuona Trust. He is also involved in many projects for Sudanese children. Yassir is inspired by Nubian culture and motifs and his art is easily identified by eye-catching forms and colour. He has been exhibiting actively internationally.

Fawaz Elsaid was born in Sudan, and graduated from the College of Fine Art at Sudan University in 2004. He too is currently at Kuona Trust. He has participated in art workshops at the French Cultural Center in Khartoum and exhibits his work in Sudan as well as abroad.

Each artist makes an excellent foil for the other and it is in this room that the kaleidoscope finally makes sense. – Frank Whalley in Step inside the kaleidoscope…
