Goethe-Institut Kenya is proud to present the digital exhibition Games and Politics, which is currently touring the continent. The exhibition showcases a selection of international video games – the most popular kinds of the digital revolution, including the so-called impact games, serious games and news games. It highlights the effects of globalization as well as other real-world references.

The exhibition will open at 6 pm on the 10th of October at the Goethe-Institut, followed by a series of related side events:

● Friday 11th October: Game walk at 12 noon / Launch of Enter Africa: Unplugged 2121
● Wednesday 16th October: Panel Discussion: On Defiance- Art as Social Commentary
● Wednesday 23rd October: Panel Discussion – Simulating Futures
● Wednesday 23rd October: Game Development Masterclass with Nathan Masyuko (On Application)

Games & Politics is presented by the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut.

Keeping it real is an exhibition centered on hyperrealism and realism. The aim of the show is to highlight the artists’ attention to detail and the different perspectives they have on the subject matters while keeping the pieces as real as the subject matter.

The show artists include; Eddy Ochieng, K.M Kabue, Joseph Guama, Peris Kimani and Fred Mccrota.
