Concert: A Helping Hand, Aug. 20 2011 @ Tribe

The concert will feature performances by Elizabeth Njoroge, Safaricom Choir, Paul Nduati and the Conservatoire Strings conducted by Ken Wakia. On the programme is Vivaldi’s Gloria, music from the world of Opera and spirituals and much more. It promises to be a beautiful night of music.

Tickets are Kshs 4000/- and all Proceeds will benefit the Kenyans for Kenya fundraising initiative providing famine relief solutions to communities in Northern Kenya.

The Kenya Community Centre for Learning (a non-profit school catering to special needs children) is partnering with a number of GoDown based and freelance artists to hold an exhibition dubbed `Art is Our Special Ability’.

Art lovers will get the great opportunity of getting a free kid`s artwork on purchase of an artist`s work. Part of the proceeds will go towards supporting the special needs students at the centre.

Proceeds from event ticket sales will go towards purchasing sanitary towels for the children at Tumaini Children’s Home.
