Field Trip/Pawa Master Class: Dandora Field Trip, Apr. 14 2012 @ Dandora Dump Site


On 14th April 2012, PAWA254 will venture into the Dandora dump site to capture images and tell the story of the people who work and earn a living in the dump site.
The Field trip will be facilitated by Boniface mwangi, James Quest, and David Mutua. After the trip, all participants will be treated to a sumptuous lunch at Mpambe.

Prerequisite for the trip is one MUST have a DSLR camera.

He will build your strengths and help you identify your weaknesses so you can improve on them. You will learn what it takes to land a lead role in a TV series or movie. Learn from someone who has done it. Neil has appeared in such hit TV series as Fringe, Eureka and blockbuster movies like The A-Team and Watchmen.

Neil has excellent knowledge of Kenya film and TV industry. He Directed: Higher Learning (Four Seasons) and Saints. He is therefore well familiar with the industry demands and skills gaps.

PAWA Salon Masterclass with Brendan Bannon, Mar 22 2012 @ PAWA254

On 22nd March 2012, PAWA254 will have the pleasure of hosting Brendan Bannon a stellar photojournalist based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Brendan Bannon’s interest in photography was sparked by his mother, an amateur photographer with a darkroom in the bathroom, and his father, who placed him at age 10 in front of drawers of antique photographs and asked him to select the interesting ones for an exhibition on the history of photography. Bannon previously worked on long-term projects in both Romania and Russia. He has been living in Africa since 2005. He has photographed in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Tanzania, Congo, India. His clients include Medecins Sans Frontieres, UNHCR, UNICEF and CARE International. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, The Daily Telegraph, the Independent, the Guardian, Monocle Magazine, KWANI?, Maclean’s and others.
