Based on Tinga Tinga Tales the animated series, the Musical

Is a gloriously interactive and raucus live show designed to entertain the whole family. Written and directed by original creators of the TV show Claudia Lloyd and composed by Eric Wainaina, the musical will take its audience on a wonderful theatrical journey where they will sing with the Dawn Chorus, interact with their favourite characters from the TV series, help Giraffe get out of sticky situation and delight in seeing how Chameleon transforms from the greyest of grey things into an explosive Afrofusion Master of Colour. Everyone will sing, dance, laugh and cry… but most of all they will all have a TingaTingaTastic Time.

Written by Claudia Lloyd I produced by Sheba Hirst I music by Eric Wainaina I choreographed by Mkamzee Mwatela.

Well…if you missed it the first time, here’s another chance to catch this captivating, humorous, intriguing Musical play that is BACK!!

…The play takes you through the journey of CITY DADS and their journey through fatherhood in the most realistic and typical way; ranging from financial obligations, tough decision making, and challenges brought about by wrong choices made earlier in life, to absentee fathers and the resolution to be the best fathers they could ever be and how this affects the women who love them. This takes the audience through a roller coaster of emotions in a captivating way.

This star studded performance will feature: Benjamin Webi, Michael Oyier and Steve Katingima.
The play is written by Seth Busolo, directed by Lucy Wache, Produced by Charity Nyambura and the music done by Benjamin Webi.

To evolve, we grow from the spirit around us – as we mark 50 years of our conception, The Rhythm of our Dreams is an explorative and experimental journey of sounds, songs and images from Kenya. Through a careful selection of music and moving images, The Rhythm of our Dreams draws from a curious selection of music from all corners and times of our country. Tonight, through a historical and contemporary visual soundscape, we celebrate the diversity and the spirit of Kenya.

Featuring DJs from a diverse spread of Kenyan genres and subcultures, each set is researched and selected to feature a plethora of tunes; think Taarab meets Benga or “Night Bus to Mombasa 1996” or “Christmas lunch with Gukah 1974.” An evening of a mélange and collage of Kenyan dreams an memories.
