The 2019 World Music Day will be headlined by the afro futuristic live act GATO PRETO MUSICAlso programmed to rock the night are:
– Simply Blacque band led by the singer DyaLi
– Ogoti with a blend of Afrocentric influences from East, West and South Africa,
– Mamakaffe, French/Ivorian singer mixing Jamaican dancehall and hip hop,
– the Bomas of Kenya Limited musicians and dancers, and
– DJ Coco em, Labdi Ommes, & Ndululu, in a special performance blending afro-electronic music with live instruments.

In 2019, Short Story Day Africa is seeking short fiction exploring disruption, especially but not limited to climate and environ[mental] disruption.
