Mary Mary, a comedy by Jean Kerr.  Bob – a publisher is at the tail end of divorced proceedings with his wife- Mary.
They have been living apart- and the final stage of the divorce is just weeks away. Bob has since met Tiffany- who is from a very rich background
and is a health freak; they are due to get married as soon as the divorce is granted.

Bob’s tax lawyer- Oscar – has been working on the tax returns and has had to call in Mary to clarify some payments relating to the current tax year. This
he does behind Bob’s back- and the two ‘exes’ are thrown into a situation of having to confront themselves- why did they split in the first place? Who is
getting married to whom?

In comes Dirk – a famous actor- and Bob’s comrade in the Navy- who has written a book and wants it published. Bob is loathe to do this, and ‘trades
off’ his ex-wife for a publishing contract!

This funny, warm and moving piece is directed by George Mungai and performed by a cast of five: Robert Mullei, Brigid Wanyaga[last  on stage in the
musical Oliver] , Jane Waithiegeni [Changing Generations], Harry Ebale (Local Murder) and  Eddie Mbugua-Njeri .

Dates: Friday 10th-Saturday 25th June 2011. Wed-Fri @ 7pm, Sat 11th & 18th @
6pm, Sunday 19th 2 4pm and Saturday 25th @ 3 & 6pm. Thursdays are student nights, students with valid identification buy a ticket at ksh.300 and get
another one free. Tickets are Ksh. 500 for Adults, Ksh.300 for Students.

‘Weapon of Mass Reconciliation’ showcases the best of the Spotlight on Kenyan Music programme, an Alliance Française project that continues to nurture Kenyan music inspired from local musical traditions.

The “Weapon of Mass Reconciliation’ is a digipack composed of:
–  an audio CD featuring the 14 Spotlight tracks including Wakati ni Sasa (the project’s flagship song featuring Kenya’s leading afro-fusion artists),
– a DVD with 10 music clips by a selection of Spotlight artists and Iddi Achieng, member of the Spotlight Steering committee
– a DVD that documents the Spotlight on Kenyan Music journey and directs the spotlight to the next stage

In the wake of the Kenya’s post-election crisis of early 2008 when the country was divided along ethnic lines and rivalries, the Spotlight national tour came at an opportune time contributing to the various reconciliation building efforts in the country.  This weapon of mass reconciliation was used to promote ‘unity in diversity’ by taking musicians and music from different regions to introduce them on new turf in an effort to create a better understanding and tolerance of ‘similarities in differences’.

Urban Mirror is a public-art project which started in 2009 and aims to give a voice to the urban scene of Nairobi. After successful shows and events like Love Zone and Theatre Zone where collectives, groups and centres were featured that mostly work away from the official art world, Urban Mirror presents a new project: the documentary Twende Berlin.

This documentary is a film about urban spaces and the relationship to them as told through the eyes of a troupe of African Hip Hop artists in the streets of Berlin.

In 2010 the Hip Hop group Ukoo Flani went to Berlin in the framework of Goethe-Institut Nairobi’s project BLNRB. This gave them the chance to not only perform in one of Berlin’s most iconic venues, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, but also to meet different underground artists living and working there.

This documentary is not only a trip into the public space and public art scene of Berlin, but also a comparative study about the possible positive or negative impact of this emerging “creative class” in both Western and African metropolises. KCB Safari Rally starts at KICC on Friday where the president will flag off the cars after which they head to Jamhuri Park for a Superspecial stage.

Saturday crews head to Kajiado where theweekends two day action will be based.
Both days will feature action in the Kajiado area with the overnight perc femme based at Il bisel.
