As part of their centenary celebrations, All Saints’ Cathedral will be holding a whole week of music events and concerts, featuring both local and international artistes.Some of the key highlights for classical music lovers will be:
THURSDAY THE 27TH OF JULY @ 19.00 HOURS. Both local and visiting organist’s will explore All Saints Cathedral’s magnificent Walker organ. Works will include Mendelssohn, Bach, Norman Cocker and some interesting works for orchestra flute and organ. Do not miss this exciting hour!SATURDAY 29TH JULY @ 19.00 HOURS – The tenth edition of Sounds of Praise. This will feature visiting bassoonist and graduate of the Royal Academy of music Bernie Childs’ performing Mozart’s Bassoon concerto, a world premier of Andrew Whitaker’s setting to Psalm 150 as well as other beautiful choral works all performed by the massed choirs of the Cathedral.
SUNDAY 30TH JULY @ 15.00 HRS. This crowns the week with a performance of Handel’s Messiah with massed choir, organ and orchestra. This will be conducted by Alan Childs , music adjudicator, choral director, organist and Royal schools of music examiner.

Just read about the concert in the paper but won’t be able to attend. Will the cathedral sell audio or video CDs featuring the music. I’d love to purchase a copy, being a passionate lover of classic music.
