Triple Bill 2011 – Dance Performances
The Platform Triple Bill began in 2007 as the Kunja Dance Theatre’s way of sharing three new works in a row under the artistic direction of James Mweu.
In the Future… – a piece by seven artists blending acrobatics, dance and everyday movements; the dancers take us on a journey of discovering new places, spaces and possibilities while reflecting on the past moments, snaps and gazing into the future. It is part of a boys’ project, which exposes and informs young people on arts, quality performing practices and allows encounters with professionals, with the aim of training, educating and uplifting new talent.
Luna – a poetic piece on seasons, where paths traverse, cross and dancers negotiate… During this performance, the Kunja dancers are joined by dancers from Dance Montage – Dance Forum Nairobi (DF-N) training programme held at The GoDown Arts Centre .
