The Art of Dominque Zinkpé
Dominique Zinkpè, from the Republic of Benin, is arguably one of the most recognisable African contemporary artists. He is a versatile self-taught artist, producing drawings, paintings, sculptures, and installations. His vivid paintings and drawings are both intimate and revealing, often denouncing injustice and hypocrisy, and steeped in Benin’s rich history, culture, and spirituality, especially voodoo.
