Hadithi Hadithi by Harriet Riddell is an interactive Art Exhibit that captures varied present day experiences in Kenya directly onto fabric. With a talent for drawing on her sewing machine, Harriet travels Kenya stitching live narratives onto canvas and local fabrics. The result is a series of whimsical art works that illustrate life in the Nairobi slums and rural Kenya.The Hadithi Hadithi exhibition showing at the Kuona Trust art gallery will include collaborative pieces with various local artists from Masaai Mbili and Wajukuu who Harriet taught her ‘free-style’ stitch technique.
This exhibition runs until 30th September 2015.
