Yes – you read well: today we give away not just one ticket for Blankets & Wine, but *two*. One for yourself, and one for whoever you want: your loved one, your best friend, you name it!
We are very excited about Anto’s concert on Sunday. We remember him playing at the first Kwani? Open Mic events back in 2006, and he’s come a long way! So, here is what you need to do to win: share with us what’s your favourite Anto song, and why you love him. Maybe tell us about a gig of his you’ve attended, or any other detail showing why we should give *you* the two tickets we have today. Make sure you leave a comment before midnight on February 29th…Good luck! (all participants will be subscribed to Nairobi Now’s weekly newsletter – hopefully you’ll find it useful)

Always been a big fan of AntoNeoSoul and who can forget the Paragasha nights. Chips Funga is one of my favourite jams, the video is quite well done too. The lighting and videography is fantastic and the story line does justice to the lyrics.
Just when I thought he’s gone under comes the newest jam ‘Engineer Penja’ with Aziza Muzik… HE MUST PERFORM THIS AT BLANKETS AND WINE and I want to be there when he performs it fot the first time on stage!
Anto, for me, is a fresh and new twist on the Kenyan afro soul scene. He has this certain style and flair to him that is just amazing. i absolutely love the message in Chips funga coz most people can relate to it. You are either the chipser or the chipsee at some point of your life..lol. Also, he’s the first artist in Kenya to have a flash mob in his music video ie Qwerty Love. Love that song to death by the way. I have attended almost every Paragasha event at Club Sound since he started having them and I can’t wait to see him on stage this sunday. Pleeease gimme those tickets. *wink wink* 🙂
My favourite Anto track has to be
Breeze I attended all Paragasha Events
and I still do,the Paragasha Nites take
place at Club Soundd every last
Tuesday of the month,he is also a
Mental Health ambassador just like me
…..and Anto was born a day after me 9th Nov
I think its easy for anybody to do a track…hell, I have a few of my own which no no no…i will never share!…something to do with lack of confidence and what not…but for people like me, God said, Let there be Anto. First time I heard this guy sing, I was at home, getting ready for work and flipping through channels to catch up with the news…he was LIVE on KTN Sunrise singing Kiss, Command and Promise…I dint think he was Kenyan, the song was slow and bluezzy (is that even a word coz spell check just raised a flag), totally opposite of what I would expect…I just looked at him, vulnerable and out of his comfort zone and yet so at home!!the whole day, I kid you not!!! I thought of that song by that scrawny little kid on TV…av heard QWERTY love and Chips funga, I love them but somehow I keep going back to that song by that scrawny little kid I saw on TV….Unfortunately, I have attended all his gigs via an armchair :-(((…seated out on the balcony with my phone on loudspeaker!……boy, I wonder how it would feel to see him….LIVE!!!!!!
Chips Funga no doubt IS THE SOOOOONG!!
His voice is amazingly breathtaking, there are no words to explain how good he sounds.
You hear him sing and it takes you to another place… a lovely mellow happy smiley place. 🙂 🙂
You listen to him and you’re tempted to close your eyes and just float away to the sound of his voice.
So seeing him perform live and especially at Blankets & Wine would be E-P-I-C for sure!!
Hi. His song QWERTY Love is awesome, I’ve to most, if not all of his monthly Paragasha shows at Club Sound and what’s great about him is his amazing stage presence and composure and making sure everyone’s having a good time with his witty on-the-spot humour.

oh, and I forgo to mention, he was the very 1st person to let me perform Live at their music showcase event, Paragasha, and I’m forever grateful for the experience 🙂 watching him share a stage with Lira would be the greatest honour
My all time favorite ‘Chips Funga’ ..i heard the song, fell in love and you tubed everything i could find bout Anto including the interviews at KTN..I can’t wait for “blankets n wines” this weekend..am so bringing my momma it’s he bday…
Being the African I am, just rushing in before midnight 🙂
well, I knew about Anto last year when a friend of mine told me he(my pal) was part of the photography crew 4 chips funga.. (well pardon my ignorance before that, I was in high sch and didn’t know much about band music) so I tafutad Anto’s songs and fell in love with ‘Love me and don’t let go’ yes, even more than Chips Funga(btw its video, KUDDOS) I don’t understand kyuk, but sth about that song makes me text my Kyuk pals saying ‘eraigwa paragasha ah’ hehe. And aside from that, the lyrics are good stuff… ‘tunaenda mbele’ positive vibe 4 a couple.. Engineer Penja is another song where his vocals are the deal..:)
Why the tickets should be mine(totally up to you, not forcing issues, just winking) 😉
I’ve never been to an Anto gig, I just got my form 4 results leo, what better way to celebrate than to scream 4 Anto and enjoy the likes of Lyra… Walala… Music is how to enjoy life expression, nataka kujienjoy:)
(naomba serikali(in this case you) inizingatie) hehe.. Who’d I go with,:) my friend who totally loves band music kama mimi:) He’s too cool.
And the winner is….
wow – this was hard, guys. But the sentence “You are either the chipser or the chipsee at some point of your life” is just too good to be true. Sally Njiriri you just won 2 tickets for Sunday’s Blankets & Wine. Please email us the name of the person coming with you – nairobinow @ gmail . com
