What makes us hold some people in high regard – and what makes us deny others the same? How do we act towards those we honour – and what makes us decide whether to look up to people or not? Are all people worthy of respect?
The Nest’s second Rewind Fast Forward event explores the instinct, contention and actions behind how we decide to treat people, focusing on where they come from and what they do.
Join the forum theater moderator Dr. Njoki Ngumi and the cast of Maggie Karanja, Millicent Ogutu, Olwenya Maina and Sam Psenjen on Saturday 15th from 2pm – 5pm and have your say!

Hello, I am so sorry I missed your performance. Please tell me the next time you are performing. I developed a Forum Theatre Group last year in Soweto, Johannesburg as a part f a youth empowerment program. We had about 30 young people trained in the processes of Theatre of the Oppressed. I am now living in Nairobi. I would love to speak to you. We did performances on xenophobia; self esteem and internalised oppression; ex-prisoners coming out of jail; violence against women.
Hi Pamela
I have informed the event organisers. If they see it appropriate they will be getting back to you.
Best. R.
